Beyond our commitment to sustainability, we are deeply passionate about helping those in need. A percentage of our profits is dedicated to sponsoring outreach organizations that bring relief to underserved communities.
One of the organizations we support is Nexo: A Section 18A registered PBO that runs initiatives focused on mitigating fatherlessness and eradicating gangsterism. The organization does this through mentorship programs, workshops, skills development, soup kitchens and feeding programs, as well as community restoration projects. Nexo has been in operation since 2017 and focuses its programs on the community of Mitchell’s Plain, Cape Town.
As mentioned, at Cape Eco, we believe that access to clean water is a fundamental right, and as such, a portion of our profits is dedicated to WellsForAfrica – an organization supporting community water projects through installing borehole, rain harvesting tanks and water purification systems in schools and villages.
WellsForAfrica has been in operation for the last 40 years and focuses its wells and boreholes installation in the villages of Zambia. Cape Eco has committed to an agreement with WellsForAfrica, in that for every 4 boreholes we install, we completely fund and assist in installing one borehole in Zambia.
