Cape Eco
Groundwater Specialists
Born from a deep passion for sustainability, Cape Eco was founded in 2017 with a clear purpose—to empower everyday people with access to life’s most essential resource: water. We believe that clean, reliable water should not be a privilege but a right, and we are committed to making that a reality.

Water security is the name of the game for us! We specialize in borehole drilling, water well installations, tank installations, pump installations, water purification and filtration systems, rainwater harvesting, and innovative water solutions - ensuring that homes, businesses, schools and farms can thrive, even in the face of water scarcity.
We’re all about data-driven-drilling! By leveraging cutting-edge technology, including advanced geological surveys with Electrical Resistivity Testing, we don’t just drill—we strategically source water where it’s most sustainable. Our mission is to provide efficient, cost-effective, and long-lasting groundwater solutions, securing water access for generations to come.
Beyond our commitment to sustainability, we are deeply passionate about helping those in need. A percentage of our profits is dedicated to sponsoring outreach organizations that bring relief to underserved communities. Through the provision of clean water to villages in Zambia, to mentorship programs in gang ridden communities and schools in Mitchell’s Plain, Cape Town - every project we undertake contributes not just to water security for our clients, but also to the greater good—because water changes lives.
Why ?

Water Scarcity in the Western Cape
The Western Cape has experienced significant water challenges, particularly during the severe droughts between 2015 and 2018, which highlighted the region’s vulnerability to water scarcity.
The situation of inland water sources in decline has led to an increased reliance on groundwater resources to meet agricultural, industrial, and domestic demands.

Groundwater Utilization and Potential
Groundwater has become an essential component of the Western Cape’s water supply strategy. The most recent survey conducted in 2022 indicated that there were 24,000 registered wellpoints and boreholes in the Western Cape. These work in conjunction with regional municipalities running groundwater schemes to augment supplies, complementing the Western Cape Water Supply System (WCWSS).
These schemes are part of efforts to diversify water sources and enhance resilience against future droughts.
Why Choose Us
Choosing the right water solutions provider is critical to ensuring reliability, sustainability, and long-term cost savings. At Cape Eco, we stand out from the competition through our expertise, compliance with industry standards, and commitment to community impact.

We conduct thorough geological surveys to maximize success rates, using Electrical Resistivity Testing (ERT) to conduct precise geological surveys before drilling. This ensures optimal borehole placement, increasing the chances of hitting sustainable water sources while minimizing drilling costs.

From site analysis to drilling, filtration, and maintenance, to advanced purification and rainwater harvesting systems, we provide a comprehensive turnkey water solution. Whether for residential, commercial, or agricultural use, our services are designed for long-term efficiency and reliability.

Our systems are designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating energy-efficient water pumps, advanced filtration, and water recycling methods to reduce operational costs while maximizing water availability. Our pricing is structured to be more accessible to middle-class homeowners, schools, and small-scale agriculture, without compromising on quality.

We provide after-sales support, borehole maintenance, pump servicing, and system upgrades to ensure continued efficiency and longevity of your water supply.

All our borehole drilling, water purification, and filtration systems adhere to SANS (South African National Standards) and WHO (World Health Organization) water quality guidelines. We also provide certified water testing and compliance documentation to ensure your water meets the highest safety and regulatory standards. In addition to all this, we support water conservation initiatives, ensuring long-term groundwater sustainability

to community upliftment
At Cape Eco, we believe that access to clean water is a fundamental right. A portion of our profits is dedicated to supporting community water projects, schools, and outreach organizations, ensuring that our work benefits not only our clients but also those in need.

What some of our Customers Say
Job: Residential borehole; Irrigation system; Rain harvesting tanks installation
Area: Edgemead
Mike and his wife have a keen interest in homesteading and had a dream of growing their own crops and consuming their own produce. Unfortunately, increasing water tariffs at the time would not allow them to fulfill this dream. We installed an 8m wellpoint, two 2,500L water tanks, as well as an irrigation system with booster pumps. Since then, Mike and his wife have been able to fulfill their dream of growing their own food while saving on their municipal bill!

Job: Residential Reverse Osmosis and water purification system; Rain Harvesting System
Area: Durbanville
Client reached out to us that he would like to go off-grid, but his borehole water had too many impurities for consumption. We sampled the client’s water, sent it off for testing and built out an R/O system based on the results. We also added a few tanks to collect rainwater. The client now saves 60% of his utility/ municipal bill based on the changes we have helped him implement.

Job: Residential borehole
Area: Brackenfell
“4 months after installation, I still get about 20 liters per minute. Needless to say, I am a satisfied customer. Dane at Cape Eco delivered prompt service and advice, and followed up, so great after sales service. He understand my needs as a start up gardener and I am glad I followed his advice. I am happy with the reinstatement of my lawn after the well point was installed. I gladly give him a thumps up and 100%” – Craine, homeowner”
Job: Residential well-point
Area: Athlone
“I had 3 contractors out to my place to install a well point and on all three occasions no luck. I searched around and found the blessing in disguise Cape Eco. Dane pitched the following day and assured me he will make my day. On the first attempt they struck water and pressure was good but not for him. He went deeper with a second hole and pressure was even stronger. He worked his magic linking up both pipes and all was sorted. Everyday for 2 weeks he checked up and 5 years later my wellpoint and the pressure is still top notch. Thank you once again, when all else failed you came out on top for us.”
